Eric Kautzi - drums
Eric is the newest member of Builder. Joining in the summer of 2004, Eric opens yet another chapter in the ever-evolving music of Builder. Eric's always played in jazz combos before, but holy crap, the kid can rock.
Eric brings a creative flair to the tunes that gives them a little more swing and a ton of upside down fun. Circus beats, swung 6/8, and crazy fills abound. In addition, we've found that we can't play faster than Eric, no's doubts about it.
MMW, Ghosty, and Fiona Apple are some of his favorite musics.
Eric sometimes plays on a very nice DW drum kit and the other times on a not-quite-as-nice, yet cooler than cool, vintage Ludwig kit. He quite often will give us the rivet-ride cymbal, which always makes Mike's day.
